Jamie Lowry blasted two penalties in the space of three minutes at the end of an action packed night at Saltergate. County pulled a goal back late on through Mike Edwards but it was to be the Spireites night and fully deserved too.
From the opening the Spireites attacked the Magpies with wave of attacks coming from the either wings. Donal Mcdermott and Jamie Lowry provided excellent work down the flanks coupled with the work ethic of Drew Talbot the first half belonged to the Spireites. Good chances fell to Talbot and Lester with a snap shot from 25 yards from Allott also adding to the tally.
Second half and County came back into it through the substitution of Hawley for Rodgers. Just as they had started to come into the game, Lester was felled in the box by Edwards and the ref decided it was a pen via the help of the linesmen. Moments later Talbot was brought down by Hunt and Pen no 2 was stroked home by Lowry. Minutes later Edwards headed home from a cross by it was the Spireites night and thoroughly deserved too. And even Sven was in attendence to see it.
