Spireites set to answer fan demand

The npower League Two leaders are responding to increasing demand from its supporters by offering the Printability Stand (North Stand) to them on a trial basis against the Gulls on December 11.

The moves comes after the Karen Child Stand (South Stand) sold out for the first time against Burton on Saturday.

For the Torquay game, away fans will be accommodated in the north end of the Midlands Co-operative Community Stand (East Stand).

"It appears that many of our own fans like to view the match from behind the goal so we aim to meet this demand for the Torquay game by making this change," said Chesterfield chief executive Carol Wilby. "It will also give us the chance to trial the different segregation arrangements that will apply.

"It is only possible to do this for selected games depending on the anticipated number of travelling fans, so the North Stand will revert back for away fans for the Christmas and New Year holiday fixtures against Wycombe Wanderers and Stockport County."
