The in-form forward was sent off late on in the draw at Bury on Tuesday night and will serve a one-match ban.
Leading scorer Craig Davies, who struck for the 16th time this season when he gave the Spireites the lead against Bury, operated as a lone striker at Gigg Lane.
If boss John Sheridan wishes to play two up front his first choice Jack Lester may not be available. The veteran was described by Sheridan as being `very poorly' in midweek and will be monitored before the team travels.
If Lester does not make it either Jordan Bowery or Scott Boden could start.
Winger Drew Talbot (foot) and the adaptable Dwayne Mattis (calf) missed the Bury game but Sheridan hopes both players will be fit.
