Just a quick update from the Spireites point of view. Adam Smith is to have an operation on a troublesome knee injury and looks to be out for up to six weeks.
The Spireites have failed in a bid to sign striker Tommy Johnson from Gillingham as Sheffield United have nipped in there first and offered Johnson a player-coach role.
The CFC (2001) AGM was held on Thursday night and the accounts were passed by the shareholders, more of an update on this next week.
Tickets have sold slowly for the trip to Belle Vue on Saturday and the Spireites are unlikely to sell all of their allocation and around a thousand supporters are expected to make their way to South Yorkshire, take a raincoat it's uncovered!

Only tickets for the Saltergate Kop are left for the visit of Sheffield Wednesday a week on saturday. The Main Stand,Family Stand and the Compton Street side are Sold Out. Strong rumours suggest that several Owl supporters/idiots have bought tickets for the Kop although these rumours were banded about last year as well.
